Tips for a Successful Sweat Sesh

BEFORE

Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment. (10 minutes if it's your first time!) Make sure to hydrate, wear loose clothing, remove any make-up, and do not get a spray tan before.

*However, spray tans have optimal results when you get a spray tan after a sweat session.

DURING

Relax, unwind, and enjoy! You can wear a swimsuit, but we recommend a birthday suit. It may take 15-20 minutes to begin sweating.* While sweating you can watch Netflix, listen to music or podcasts, meditate, and experience the benefits of chromotherapy. You can burn up to 300-600 calories each session.

AFTER

After your sweat session, you’ll feel revived and relaxed! Dry off using the provided towels and just leave them in your sauna suite - we’ll take care of the laundry. Make sure to rehydrate! We keep our fridges stocked with both alkaline and sparkling water, as well as energy-boosting snacks. Oh, and get ready to sleep like a baby that night!

*The infrared technology gradually heats the body from the inside out, slowly raising your core temperature. This is a key difference between infrared saunas that allow your body to sweat out between 20%-30% of toxins and traditional box saunas that only sweat out 2%-3% of toxins.

What is Infrared?

Infrared wavelengths are the invisible part of the sun’s spectrum consisting of near (NIR), mid (MIR) and far (FIR) rays. These rays have the ability to penetrate human tissue. This characteristic makes infrared beneficial because it heats the body directly at the core rather than simply warming the air resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where the majority of toxins reside.

Infrared heat is completely safe and healthy for all living things. You can be exposed to infrared light for hours without the risk of burning. Infrared is a naturally occurring output of the sun, but does not contain the harmful UV rays associated with unprotected sunlight. In fact, infrared’s gentle heat is used in hospitals to warm newborn infants.
