What is Infrared Heat Therapy
What's so special or different about infrared heat therapy?  When we began researching the saunas and individual manufacturers, we were shocked and excited to learn about the advances in technology and all of the health benefits that can be received, while relaxing in a sauna.

Infrared heat therapy works to raise the core body temperature to produce a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level where the majority of toxins reside.  We’re exposed to toxins every day and they accumulate in our bodies causing fatigue, skin irritations, digestive problems and headaches.  Sweating is a natural way to rid ourselves of these impurities.  Infrared saunas penetrate up to 3 inches beneath the skin surface into tissue, muscles, and joints which makes them 7 times more effective for detoxifying the body than traditional saunas.

Infrared light (experienced as heat) is the invisible part of the sun’s spectrum with the ability to penetrate tissue providing a soothing, natural warmth.  However, please don’t confuse it with ultraviolet light (UV), which causes sunburn and damage to your skin!  This patented Solocarbon infrared technology is not only safe, but proven to be therapeutic as it is 95-99% efficient at heating the body directly rather than simply heating the air. In fact, it is so safe, hospitals use infrared to warm newborn infants.

Infrared Saunas vs Traditional Saunas

Traditional saunas only heat the air in the cabin which can often be unbearably hot and will cause you to only sweat at the surface of the tissue. They also operate in excess of 180 degrees making the air claustrophobic and difficult to breath.

Infrared saunas use a soothing, gentle heat.  They operate at temperatures between 120-150 degrees, are well ventilated, and extremely comfortable and relaxing.  Please see the chart below for a side by side comparison and explore our website further to review the health benefits of infrared heat therapy in greater detail.
